log file buffer size more than 4800000

Hi all,

I have a very large log file with about 1 million row.
Opening this file I only see 480000 rows. I tried to increase the receiver buffer size but I still see only the latest 480000 rows.

How can I see the whole log file?

Hi alessandro,

we are sorry to hear about your problem. To help us solve this issue could you please provide the following information:

- Is it one big logfile, or multiple rolled files?
- Did you increase the message buffer when adding the file receiver, or afterwards?
- Are there any read errors (displayed in the bar at the buttom of Log4View)?

Hi Philipp,

It is one big file stored on disk.

I increased the buffer after loaded the file. When loaded the file the buffer rows was 480000 and so remained after changed the buffer dimension.

I did not notice any errors in the bar

Increasing the bufferr when adding the receiver it is ok.
