License Activation

Chris
Hi,

is it possible to add a license file to an automatic installation or activate the software with the command line? Unfortunately I was unable to find any documentation for an unattended installation.

Thanks and Regards,
Chris

Dear Chris,

yes, you can use the command line to register a license. The command is log4view /rl <YourLicenseFile>

Example (assuming you have opened cmd in the installation path of Log4View and there is a license file on the desktop):
log4view /rl C:\Users\Philipp\Desktop\Log4View.lic

Re: License Activation

Hi Philipp,

thanks for your fast reply. This was the information I was looking for! :)

Maybe you can give me another clue... Is there a way to prevent the creation of the Desktop shortcut? I can remove it via script, but I would prefer to not create it in the first place.

Kind Regards,
Chris

Dear Chris,

unfortunatelly there is no option to disable the creation of a desktop shortcut. Your solution using a script (which you are using to register the license anyways) seems like a clever idea.
