Bug: Stop button not working

Using Version 12.4.0.33399
When I press the Stop button it's  Tooltip text changes from "Stop receiving messages" to "Continue receiving messages" or back, but in both states "Messages Received" and "Messages Buffered" keeps counting, and eventually the currently selected message will scroll away
